What is the Audi Advanced Key?
Audi prioritizes comfort and convenience. This is why all the new models in our showroom have keyless entry and starting. This technology allows you to get into your car and start driving, all while keeping your key fob in your pocket or purse.
This system works through proximity sensors located in the doors and trunks paired with an electronic key radio within the key fob. Here are some things you should be aware of Audi Advanced Key:
1. Proximity Detection
Audi proximity detection lets you to start and enter your car without having to take the key out of your purse or pocket. This feature lets you unlock your car's doors and trunk, as well as the engine, by a single click of the sensor button on the key.
A sound-based sensor is also known as a capacitive sensor, detects the presence of objects in the vicinity using acoustic wave. The sensors generate a signal using an oscillator. The signal is transmitted into the air by a microphone which converts it into an audio file. Then, the audio files are evaluated to determine the degree of similarity and how close they are. When they are within a certain distance to each other, the system will send a wake-up signal to the key. It will also send an ID signal to the vehicle.
The first step toward an easier and more comfortable driving experience is proximity detection. The Audi advanced key comes with remote start functionality which gives you to start your car from outside the range of your key's FOB. This is useful when loading groceries into the boot, locking your children in their seats or packing for an excursion with your family.
Audi pre sense basic is a safety feature which helps you to avoid accidents by taking action prior to an accident occurs. It utilizes data from a variety of other systems, including the front camera, radar sensors and Audi side assist to calculate the probability of a collision and alert drivers. It also allows automatic braking at speeds up to 250 km/h (155.3) and alert the driver via a message in the virtual cockpit and head-up display.

2. Authentication

The Audi advanced key system is directly connected to the car's sensors whenever you press the lock button on your key fob. The system sends a confirmation code to the computer of the car to confirm that it's a valid key fob. This security measure prevents unauthorized entry to the vehicle without the authentic key fob.
It also lets drivers start their vehicles using the key fob inside their purse or pocket. The Audi advanced key system uses proximity sensors inside the trunk lid and doors, paired with a radio pulse generator in the key fob. If the key fob is within five feet of the vehicle, the sensors sense your presence and allow you to unlock the doors. When you open the trunk or use the door handle the vehicle detects the key and activates the motor.
You can also make use of your key fob in order to activate the start-up feature of your vehicle's push button. You can start the engine by pressing the Start/Stop buttons that are integrated into the center console if the key fob is in your pocket or purse. The car's sensors will check the authenticity of the key fob and start the engine once they've confirmed it.
The Audi advanced key system includes a keyless entry feature that lets you open your vehicle's doors with a touch of the exterior door handle. This makes it incredibly practical when your hands are full or you're wearing gloves, such as when you're carrying your groceries or children in the car. The system also includes a trunk release button, that lets you unlock the trunk by a kick gesture, another useful feature when you have a lot on your hands.

This will prevent any unauthorized use of the vehicle by making sure that only you have access to its doors.

After that, you can push a button to start your car. This is a great method to warm up your car before you leave for work or when it is cold outside.

This is an excellent option for business owners or families who wish to give their employees an easy way to access vehicles for business. Certain keyless entry systems even remember the driver's preferred seating position and temperature in the cabin. This can save you lots of time when you go to a parking spot.

These systems aren't secure, and could be tampered with by thieves with some technical knowledge.
